Turning everything over including the writing…. Sri Chimnoy “Offer and surrender everything to the Lord without any desire for personal gain.”
Cheerful thought. So how much did he get done?
One thousand books, 20,000 songs and 115,000 poems, that’s all. And the work was good. He won lots of literary awards and inspired countless writers and musicians. He wrote Transcendence Perfection, a collection of 843 poems all written in 24 hours. He credited it to meditation and letting go of desiring any goals whatsoever.
I’ve actually tried it using the work of Liquorman. He suggests also surrendering everything to God– and He convinced me to try it. It’s not too hard for me. I have chronic pain, exhaustion and depression (although not these days). So I lay in bed, admitting I am powerless over the pain and exhaustion, and telling my Higher Power that if he had any work in mind, he had to handle it. The result is I’ve been able to work than I have in years, taking frequent breaks and lying down hourly for ten minutes.
Although I was wiped out today I got three projects done and I am enjoying writing these blog entries. Then a nap and two more projects– listing writers groups around the country for this website– and editing several poems I wrote recently. Somehow I think I will get this all done.
