Seeing yourself writing

If you design an avatar who looks like you and then put that person in a scene where they are writing, you are more likely to write.

I have used my imagination since I have no clue how to create an avatar.  So I see myself at my desk writing furiously.  The interesting result is that I find myself getting up and going to the computer to write the Christmas poems.

So it clearly is working and I have to give credit to Jane McGonigal whose book Super Better is really worth looking at.  I also have to give credit to PsychCybernetics, Maltz, MD but I don’t remember his first name.  He said that visualizing your ideal self was the route to achieve that self.  I think he was overstating the fact, given many of us have blocks that prevent us from fully becoming ourselves.

The holiday season is upon us and I shall now return to the Christmas poetry.
