Feeding one’s creativity and starving writer’s block

Ray Bradbury writes about reading about what turns you on.  Going with your enthusiasms.  He talks about his friends talking him into throwing out his Buck Rogers collection and how, after a few weeks, he realized that he was cutting himself off from a collection that sustained and inspired him.  I am listening to Yo Yo Ma play Brazilian music this morning.  I am also staying in bed late and had breakfast with friends.  I am going to make some phone calls later, too.

And continue reading a new Alan Furst novel.  Talk about inspiring.
