Characters Feelings

The best list of character’s emotions are in Caroline Joy Adams, The Power to Write.  She has a list of 100 positive and 100 negative emotions.

Look at the list for emotions you don’t remember feeling–or identifying emotions you dislike. Those are the feelings that you won’t be able to put into your work, making your characters stiffer, less lifelike.  Our work demands that we grow along with the work.

Our fears, our feelings, our blocks all come out if we demand of ourselves if our writing is rigorously honest.
